The following review came to me via e-mail. I did not attend this concert, so I cannot answer questions about it. If you have any, contact me and I can put you in touch with the author.
Wow.. what a concert this was. Where should I begin?
Ok.. it's been 20 years since I dreamt of this night and it finally came.
The legendary Gipsy Kings with their fantastic rhumba-flamenco style came to
Melbourne after what seems to have been a hectic trip from Singapore over to
Perth, then Adelaide and here in Melbourne before heading to warmer zones in
Queensland up north and beyond.
The show opened up with a bang, starting with Djobi Djoba and the crowd was
instantly dancing in their seats and I almost stood up myself to break the
ice, but it was not to be due to the security people. However, the music was
fantastic. George Reyes was backstage with the Bernard, Pacheco and Mickael
did brialliantly with the percussion and of course we had Alain on keyboards
and Gipsy Kings - Andre, Nicolas, Pablo and Tonino. Unfortunately Canut and
Patchai could not make it on this tour due to family commitments according
to Pacheco backstage.
The show was meant to have an intermission and I had my keys ready to race
back to the car to get my guitar and camera equipment, but unfortunately it
went ahead non-stop. I do not have a list of all the songs at this time, but
I do remember (in no particular order) - Pharaon, Djobi Djoba, Quiero Saber,
Caminando, A Tu Vera (very flamenco with cajon in the background), a couple
of new songs from their Pasajero album and of course the encore signature
songs - Bamboleo and finally Volare!
A patron of the show, made a video of the Bamboleo dancing girls as shown
here in YouTube.

(thanks to Leila the one further-est to the right dancing). I don't know who the other girls were.
